Murals can be found around Elko, Nevada, particularly in the downtown area. Forty-three muralists created it from Elko and the surrounding area. Lectures, a film screening, workshops, docent-led mural tours and live music were all part of the three-day event. Walking through downtown Elko, you will see a slew of fresh murals that are hard to miss. Thus, visit Elko’s Mural Street and also do not forget to bring your camera.

Sherman Station

The Elko Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center, situated on the historic Sherman Station, is a great place to start your Elko adventure. The massive, century-old wood mansion was erected in 1903 to Sherman Station, built in the 1880s. A stage stop, a community center and a post office were all situated in the log cabin. The two-story building comprises two-foot-thick pine logs harvested from the Ruby Mountains.
