If you’re only in Billings for 24 hours, you have to be picky about what you see and do – here’s our recommendations!<\/h3>\n

8:00 AM – The Sassy Biscuit<\/a><\/h2>\n

You have a full day ahead of you, so make sure you eat a good breakfast.\u00a0 At The Sassy Biscuit, you can enjoy biscuit pancakes – the Shorty has cookie butter in it!\u00a0 Order a side of eggs or bacon to incorporate some protein, and you’ll be ready to go.<\/p>\n

9:00 AM – Bitter Creek Outfitter<\/a><\/h2>\n

Pull on your cowboy boots and head to Bitter Creek for a 2 hour horseback trail ride through the mountains, where you can enjoy the amazing views, as well as pretend you’re a cowboy in the Wild West.\u00a0 The horses are experienced, so even if you’re a beginner, you can feel safe and enjoy the trip.<\/p>\n

12:00 PM – The Burger Dive<\/a><\/h2>\n

The Burger Dive is a Billings staple, so you absolutely must visit for lunch.\u00a0 The Thunderbolt is a spicy take on the all-American burger, with chipotle mayo and pepper jack cheese.\u00a0 Enjoy it with a Cinnamon Bear shake – if you can handle the heat!<\/p>\n

1:00 PM – Yellowstone County Museum<\/a><\/h2>\n

This museum, located near the airport, is a great way to see Montana history.\u00a0 Their exhibits cover the Native American culture in the area, including the Sioux, Blackfoot, and Cheyenne, as well as the Wild West and the cowboys and saloons that came with.\u00a0 It’s not a particularly huge museum, but it packs a lot of information and displays in, so it’s definitely worth a visit.<\/p>\n

3:30 PM – Big Dipper Ice Cream<\/a><\/h2>\n

Another Billings staple, Big Dipper can’t be missed.\u00a0 Take a mid-afternoon break and enjoy some of their unique ice cream – the Maple Walnut flavor is delicious, as is the Huckleberry!\u00a0 You can pile your favorite toppings on, or try your favorite flavor in a shake.<\/p>\n

4:00 PM – High Plains Women’s Museum<\/a><\/h2>\n

When people think about the Western states, they picture cowboys and gold diggers, but women are often left out of the picture.\u00a0 The Women’s Museum aims to change that and a visit there rounds out your impressions of Montana, with interesting exhibits from oral histories to artifacts from the women who built the state.<\/p>\n

6:30 PM – Lilac<\/a><\/h2>\n

This restaurant serves some amazing New American cuisine, making it a great stop for dinner.\u00a0 Start wth crispy green beans – the black truffle cream is amazing – and then a perfectly seared ribeye or a beer-brined pork chop.<\/p>\n

8:30 PM – Last Chance Pub & Cider Mill<\/a><\/h2>\n

Finish the day by relaxing with the locals at the Last Chance.\u00a0 You can try some of their cider and beers, while you chat, learn about the brewing process, and enjoy a nice, fun evening out on the town.<\/p>\n
