Sportsman State Park<\/b><\/h2>\n

Located on the east side of the city is the Yakima Sportsman State Park. It is a public recreation area and an oasis of green in a desert region. This site was developed by the Yakima Valley Sportsman\u2019s Association in the early 1940s. The park offers hiking, camping, picnicking, bird watching and fishing.
