The odds of a white Christmas are very good in Billings, a place where you can enjoy the true spirit of the holidays. Join the annual Christmas Stroll through downtown on December 1 from 6 – 9 p.m. It’s been a family tradition for 24 years, and kicks off the month in collaboration with the ArtWalk. Take advantage of fantastic shopping, free eggnog and other seasonal refreshments, and get your photo taken with Santa.
Outdoor food trucks are peppered throughout downtown and offer options like hot chocolate, roasted chestnuts and much more. There’s also a gingerbread house competition where you can show off your own piping skills or check out the incredible work some sweets artists are capable of.
‘Tis the Season
The annual Holiday Parade takes place November 23 at 7 p.m., one of the oldest traditions in the community. On Black Friday, you’re welcome to eat, shop and enjoy the parade festivities with over 100 floats. Keep an eye out for Santa and sing along to your favorite holiday music.
On Thanksgiving Day, Santa’s Dash for Cash lets you burn off a few calories for charity after digging into the feast. The untimed dash is approximately 0.75 miles and starts at 6:45 p.m. Same-day registration starts at 5:00 p.m. The race is suitable for all ages, and is the perfect way to shake out of that turkey coma.
