Don’t miss the Elko County Fair, making people happy for 99 years!

Starting Friday, August 23rd and running through September 2nd, it’s fun for adults and kids, with plenty of activities and delicious fair food!

The fair is packed with fun activities, from typical fair rides and games to rodeo events to a horse show, so you will always be able to find something to do or see, regardless of what day or days you attend.  Watch horse races (don’t miss the Nevada Blackjack Challenge!), calf roping, and reining, in and amongst viewing the 4-H and art show entries.

Ride the rollercoasters, let the carnival worker guess your weight, and pitch balls at bottles for prizes.  Elko loves tradition, and at a fair, the standard activities hold up.  Wristbands give you unlimited rides so feel free to keep re-entering the line for your favorite over and over again.

When you get hungry – or even when you’re not – indulge in all the carnival food that you only get to eat once a year.  You’ll be able to find corndogs, cotton candy, turkey legs, deep-fried oreos, and so much more..  If the heat starts to get to you, enjoy a refreshing frozen lemonade.
