Elko is a melting pot of Western cultures and a route to the Ruby Mountains and a few of Nevada’s most beautiful and pristine environments. In Elko, you can explore cultural centers that are significant to Nevada’s artistic heritage and dozens of murals and free public art.

Lost City Museum

You can learn about Nevada’s first permanent residents around AD 200 and 1200 by visiting the Lost City in Nevada. From the on-site excavation, pit has been found. This provides a glimpse of Puebloan life in the region over the centuries, while basketry and modern regional art show long-term cultural connections.

Humboldt Museum

The Humboldt County Historical Museum has done an outstanding job portraying the tale of the region’s and state’s essential local history. The museum is free to visit, but the enriched cultural center relies on donations. These contributions also aid in the establishment and preservation of museum displays and potential property additions.
