Eat delicious food to help children be treated at the Shriners Hospital!

The Shriners Hospital, with 22 locations including Salt Lake City, is a non-profit children’s hospital that provides no-cost treatment for burns, orthopaedic issues, and spinal cord injuries, while also providing support for the family.   August 11th, 2019 is the 62nd year of Vernal hosting an annual barbecue designed to raise enough money to cover the cost for 10 children to receive treatment.  It’s an excellent cause to support, a lot of fun, and will allow you a firsthand look at how the Uintah Valley comes together to support others.

Come enjoy some great food and good company for a great cause. The 60th annual Shriners BBQ at the Colton pavilion today from noon to 5p.m.

Tickets to the barbecue cost $10, and children under the age of 8 get to eat free.  You’ll get to enjoy great local barbecue pulled pork sandwiches, corn on the cob, and potato salad, as well as refreshments.  Enjoy some music, chatting with new people, and having fun at Colton Pavilion in Ashley Community Park.  Kids will have access to baseball fields, if they fancy a game, as well as a sandpit, horseshoes, and a skate/bike park.  As a result, the whole family can have fun!

Enjoy great local food and support kids in need while you’re in Vernal, then check out everything else this town has to offer.
