It’s a Utah staple – have you ever tried a Utah Scone?

Utah Scones, also called Navajo frybread, are similar to sopapillas and beignets, in that they are fried dough, made with yeast and dusted with powdered sugar and honey.  The origins of Utah scones is unclear, but the flavor is not – they’re delicious!

7-11 Ranch Restaurant

77 E Main St, Vernal, UT 84078

7-11 Ranch is the oldest restaurant in Vernal, and Utah scones have been on the menu for longer than anyone can remember, so it’s no surprise the restaurant has perfected the dish.  The scones are airy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and huge – plus, they come with whipped honey butter to add some sweetness.

This little diner/cafe packs a lot of flavor into every bite, so their scones are never a let-down.  They’re big and light with the perfect crunch on the outside.  Order one with your coffee in the morning and you won’t regret it.
