One thing you don’t want to miss in Elko is the Second Saturday Walks!

Every month, the Elko Downtown Business Association hosts a themed walk on the second Saturday of each month.  It’s a self-guided tour starting at the Commercial Casino, where you will recieve a complimentary glass and a map of stops, starting at 4 PM and continuing until 7 PM, and costs just $25. .  Each stop will have a drink sample for you to try, based on the theme!  You can proceed at your own pace, so if you’re particularly enjoying one spot, feel free to stay for a full drink, but the samples are only given out for a period of time, so the best option is to plan on doubling back.  It’s a great opportunity to meet others and have a fun evening, as well as find new favorite places to visit.

Drinks aren’t the only thing on this walk.  Local artists and galleries also participate, inviting you to view stunning works from local people, in between bar stops.  Numerous stores you pass may also have sidewalk sales in celebration of the walk, so keep your eye out for great souvenirs.
